Litigation & Arbitration

Our Litigation & Arbitration practice is a substantial part of our business.

We represent our clients in all types of proceedings from applications for injunctions to complex, cross-border litigation involving appeals to the highest courts in each of the jurisdictions in which we practice, as well as the European Court of Justice. We have acted in cases brought before the International Chamber of Commerce and as correspondents in civil proceedings in the USA and the UK.

PI Partners has developed a particular expertise in disputes arising from securities regulations and we are recognised for our administrative litigation practice.

We act for many of our clients on an ongoing basis in respect of trade regulation cases, representing them in disputes arising from the termination or interpretation of distributorship, agency and supply agreements, all in respect of claims exceeding €1m. These include the Swiss watchmaker Maurice Lacroix, Webasto Hollandia, a manufacturer and supplier of sunroofs, Kansai Paint Co, the Japanese manufacturer of paints and coatings, and Yalco, the largest distributor of tableware, house ware, small electrical appliances and catering supplies in Greece.

Our client base in the litigation group includes stockbroking companies such as Alpha Finance and Alke Stockbrokers, State-owned concerns such as Hellenic Petroleum and Hellenic Ship Demolition Industry, and multinational household names such as La Chemise Lacoste and Phillip Morris.
